technologygroup Goes to Croke Park
On Friday 27th February, some of our clients joined Lloyd Joseph on a trip to Dublin to watch the Ireland v England RBS 6 Nations match at Croke Park.
Having set off on Friday morning flying from London Gatwick, all arrived safely in Dublin in time for lunch. After dropping their bags at the hotel in the city centre, the clients were taken to the Temple Bar area where they enjoyed a good lunch – and a pint or two of the famous black stuff!
Unfortunately for Lloyd and his guests, the match on Saturday itself proved to be a little disappointing. Ireland beat England 14-13, with the 3-3 half time score belying the fact that England had spent most of the first half on the back foot.
England did rally towards the end of the second half coming from 11-6 behind, but much of the second half was dominated by disciplinary problems and an apparent lack of enthusiasm to play rugby on both sides.
Despite the disappointing match result, an enjoyable time was had by all, with Lloyd making sure that the technologygroup hospitality more than made up for the Irish victory, before everyone made their way back home on the Sunday.
